Is it normal for children to lie?
Is any lie okay? What age is a lie considered a true lie rather than a childs imagination? What do you do when your child does something, (and you see him/her do it) and when asked about it, your childs lies about it for no apparent reason? Nothing big, nothing that could cause the child to be punished, just silliness. Still the child lies repeatedly and is soooo convincing that I even question myself as to what I really saw. I really think my son believes his lies. Is this normal or the makings of a big problem? My son is 7. Please do not say hurtful things, this is my child I am discussing here. Thanks.

He is totally normal. Always discuss the differences with him and praise him for telling the truth. Unless this becomes a big deal, dont sweat the small stuff.
